Here they are! They all have signs of something wrong, it apears to me. I have them numbered per cylinder. Is t here anything in the head itself, I should check? #4 is especially nasty.

from my minimul experience, it looks like it wasnt torqued correctly. Or, there was trash at the seat, and nobody bothered cleaning it. Also, is there a tool to clean the injector seats on a 6.0?

Yep, need a round wire brush. That cup needs to be CLEAN. Being that you really don't know the history on it,I'd get a new injector hold down on the ones that didn't crush correctly. The bolt could have been over torqued and stretched. I it was mine, that what I'd do.

Good point. I have a scope headed my way to look at the seats. Is that a special brush? If so where is a good point of purchase?

Or the real Bosch brush.

Here you go with the correct tool number. Int the photos you will see a cup.
That is in the photo so you know how large the brush set is. I found that using
the 303-D111 aka pine cone brush first and then the 303-D112 aka broom to
finish up with gives the best job.The pine cone takes all the crap off the walls
and the broom cleans the seal seat and seems to pickup all the crud that falls
off in the process. Between bores I (just me) like to use the air nozzle to blow off
the brushes so I start clean for each hone.

I think I have some bore scope photos of dirty and clean stages. Also in the upper
half of the bore you will find the fuel gallery.

I'll post the other photos later after I pick out the best ones. Need to trim it down from 67 photos.

Let me know if you can get into this gallery with this link.

They need to be spotless! Take your cell phone, flash turned on and snap a pic, then zoom in when looking at it.

#4 is a leaker, clean it and move on. Bad crush washer as Bill mentioned, new hold down and screw for sure.

Not a hard job and doesn't warrent new injectors. Go slow, be careful and enjoy your work.

Do a bubble test when done to make sure they all sealed.

So what did you have fall on the foot? Large gold brick would make a cool story.

I missed out on that FUN this last weekend when I had a project fall out of a vice.
The steel item I was welding on was heavy enough that had I been in normal shoes
it would of broken something, Steel toes and shank seem to be my preference to
have on my feet. But you can even get hurt in the kitchen by a large can of beens
when they fall from 4' up and you have just socks on. Missed my food by ever so little
and made a very large dent in the floor.
