All standard cab and crew cab bench seats are interchangeable from 1980 - 1997. Same floor pan, same seat brackets. Extended cab shares the same floor pan and seat brackets with Broncos, and will not fit standard cab and crew cab trucks. Also the front and rear bench on crew cab trucks are identical, you can swap them as well. I've got the front bench from a 1990 and the rear bench from a 1991 in my '86 F350.

The '96 seat I'm looking at has the high backs and is more comfortable (at least for the two minutes I sat on it) than the vinyl mesh fabric bench in my truck now.

Additional Seat Question
Can you install the OEM bucket seats with center console setup from a '94 easily into a 1986 model?

Yes you can pretty easily install Bronco bucket seats and the center console in an 86. I did it in my 1981 F100 last year by using a
1997-99 F150 seat pan. The Bronco seats came out of a 1994 Bronco and the seats bolted to the seat tracks that came with the
pan. All I had to do was tap one rear hole on the seats and bolt them down. The seat pan bolts perfectly to the truck floor using
the same bolts as the bench seat did I think any 1990s truck seats should also bolt to the pan.
