Interesting - even more interesting was the story from the guy about a 2013 V10 that dropped a valve, and then a crate motor did the same thing?

It's on the Internet, it must be true

"The 15's on down had lots of valve train problems. The valves would stick and whack the pistons. I don't know if they fixed the problem in 16 or not. This is more than likely what happened." This problem has resulted in a lot of chatter on this forum about this legendary valve train issue and I missed it? What engine are they talking about anyway"

Yeah, that made me laugh too. Not quite interested enough to become a member there to ask him where he got those "facts" from. But it was entertaining to read.

I think they were referencing the 6.7 diesel jackhammer phenomenon that was because ford did the regen fueling on one bank of cylinders....don't get me to lying hell idk....there was some confusion at the beginning which engine he had.

The OP came back and posted that it dropped a valve on number 5. New motor on the way and should be on the road in a couple of weeks.
