2006 F250 track bar

2006 F250 track bar
I have a new to me 06 f250 with what appears to be an 8in lift in 35? tires. I am barely at the point of doing test drives on it after a full engine rebuild and steering is all over the place with a lot of bumpsteer.
I started by checking the steering and finding the pitman arm loose and damaged because of it being loose. Went ahead and replaced the pitman arm and the steering box with a red head box. I have on order tie rods and a new drag link. What is questionable to me is the track bar not being parallel to the drag link. There is a drop pitman arm and a drop track bar bracket on the truck. Any advise on how to approach this?

Tough to tell for sure but it looks to me like you have 3 options. Reduce the drop on the pitman arm by 2" or increase the drop on the track bar. You could also look at attaching the track bar to the top of the mount on the diff. How is the axle for center? That will have something to do with the best choice. You might need an adjustable track bar to get it right. That should take care of the bump steer.
On the lose steering, once you have everything tight, castor will be your friend. 4.0 to 5.0 deg. Will tighten up that wondering feeling.

I appreciate the feedback. How would I go about determining the length of the drop bracket I have now? That way I know what bracket to order.
the pitman I have in there is the PRO COMP FD700. Would you happen to know of one I should try?
Whats the best way to measure the center of the axle in relation to the frame?
