Offline fuel filtering
Any recommendations on an offline fuel filtering system. Sometime I've seen this called a bypass fuel filter, but I don't want to bypass the factory filters. What I want to do is have a system that picks up the fuel from the tank, filters it and puts it back. That would include water/fuel separation, in addition to particles.
My fuel sometimes sits in my truck for a couple of weeks at a time, and I occasionally run a tank of bio-diesel fuel through the engine. It occurs to me that my fuel tank could be the source of engine woes and that an offline system would improve the fuel, without altering the pressures of the factory fuel system.
On the other hand I could polish the fuel by putting in some sort of filter on the fuel return line?

this filter can go in line (before the OEM lift pump) or it can replace the oem pump.
I installed mine to in line mode.
the pump has 3 connections...feed...to pump/engine...return to tank (unneeded PSI is sent back to the tank).
so basically, at idle...a high percent of the pump is sent back to the tank (filtered of course)
at full throttle....a high percent of the pump goes to the oem pump/engine and less is sent back to the tank.
