Possible solution for the crown vic swap...

It seems to me that if a person was to narrow the frame just in that area they could also flatten it out or do about whatever in that area to make it fit. I'd really love to make my truck handle better. I know it'll never be a canyon carver but I am seriously jealous of the handling performance the 68-79 guys are able to obtain. Being that my truck is like a part of the family I can't just sell it and get a different one so I'm trying to make what I have more enjoyable if that makes sense.

Do a search in here for the post of the member doing this swap.
You will see how he is doing it and after some questions asked how I might go about doing it.
Again I don't think the frame is too wide it is the bottom is curved so the CV part will not sit parallel as needed.
I have a left over LB frame I have given thought to go CV on but it is in good shape and someone said they could use it so it sits waiting for them to come get it.
Besides I have a SB truck and I would not cut that good frame to make one.
