Turn signals started failing. When the switch was engaged it would take a second for the signal to flash. Now no signals. Hazards work fine. I replaced the Signal Switch, Flashers, and checked the bulbs. Still no turn signals. What next? I'm sure I need to check continuity on the wires, but where do I start?
97% of all electrical problems are grounding issues.
First, verify you have power to the pigtail in the light socket. A test light is perfect for this.
If you have juice, check for continuity between the socket's side walls and a good, clean ground. The bulb gets its ground through the metal sides of the socket.
Continuity to ground?
You could stick the bulb back in and wiggle it to check if it lights up. Sometimes the sockets and/or pigtails get worn out and need replacing.
