E4OD TECH QUESTION. FREAKY BEHAVIOR!
A REALLY HEART FELT THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO HELPED THIS GUY WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT AUTO ELECTRIC WALK THROUGH THIS PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT THE RIGHT WAY. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!
What did you do about your voltage issue that started this? Have you read about the alternator fire hazard to see if it applies to your truck?

Check this out and see if it applies to your truck. I have a 460 in mine and haven't done the upgrade. I need to look closer at this issue.
If the load on your alternator is through a blade connection instead of a bolt-down connection it can be an issue. If the blade connection gets loose, corroded, high resistance, loaded and hot, it's a problem.
As an example, if I jumpstart someone's car I don't run my truck with the load of the jumpstart. I dont want that load on my old blade connection. Don't want my old alternator loaded like that.
