I'm having my doubts if they do exist, and I'm not talking about the illegal kind! I'm talking outer space, little green men, that kind of thing. What do you think?
I'm not arrogant enough to think that out of the billions of planets, that this one is the only one capable of supporting life. On the other hand, I'll have to see it to believe it.
I think that deep down, people either believe they exist or they dont. If I had put an "I dont know," everyone would just select that. I want to know what people actually believe, this way they actually have to make the decision.
I hope there' s some other life, just the friendly kind. It would be nice to get some wicked technology from them. Can you imagine your F-350 flying u from NYC to LA in a minute? LOL, me neither, just a thought though. Or how about this one, a lil energy crystal powering it for yoiur whole life??? AHHH the possibilities only end with your imagination.
Physical evidence, pictures, encounters - I have seen what look to be valid, and those who are frauds. I don't know who to trust. Now, you could have had a "Other" option...
But to be honest, I kind of lean toward yes, but not completely...
I want more evidence, but until then...
well, I don't really believe, and I take this from a Biblical sense. God is the almighty being of this whole world and everything, least that's what I believe. The Bible says, God created Adam, Eve and animals...no mention of aliens. Now I'm not trying to start any kind of religious debate, just what I believe. So I don't beleive in aliens.
There could be planets with intelligent beings - BUT maybe we can't FIND them because THEY are TOO FAR away...
The universe is vast - beyond human comprehension.
Genesis 1 says more than you think...it also proves Darwin's theory wrong...
I tended towards no. Surprised myself, as I used to think that with the vastness of the universe, there had to other life-forms out there.
In the universal scope of things, another life form would indicate that there are most likely many other life forms. If there are many other life forms, then there are probably those more intelligent than hours. If there are more intelligent life forms, again on a universal scale, they are probably much more intelligent. In which case, they would have been here to say "hello" or to take all of our natural resources.
It's a bit fuzzy, but there is some logic in there. This coming from a man who has taken and passed quantum mechanics :-)
God created man that was similar in his image
(I think meaning primates, cavemen etc. - also scientists recently proved that we are not related to neantertals like they thought.)
Then a few lines below that:
God created man in his own image (Adam)
Read it for yourself...
Basically, I think God says - You are going to find fossils of other creatures, this is where they came from - end of story.
I only hope the rest of this discussion doesn't go religious, then it'll have to be moved...
I think it's a mistake to assume that an alien race must automatically be more advanced or more inteligent than us. If their solar system was formed around the same time as ours, then it stands to reason their civilization should be in about the same place in evolution as ours.
