i had a 91 explorer and it took me forever to find the right ecu, found out the previous owner tried to put it in his 95 and it didn't work for him so he tossed it to the back of the workbench. i was over there tinkering with his 95 and he happened to mention it and said oh yeah this goes to your explorer it is brand new i guess you can have it. truck fired up and ran great after i installed it. then we had a wildfire go through town and burned most of it down including my explorer, 69 f250 and my 65 f250 flatbed. if i had been home i could have saved them but i was 40 miles away when the fire sweep though the town nothing left of them but a burned-out shell, damn.
I have a 1991 f150 with a 5.0 e40d combo. I do not have the original ECM for this truck as it was changed before I got the truck from my mom. The original computer is long gone. I have a calibration code of 1-54L-R10 and my vin # is 1FTDF15N6MLA71816. Can some one help?
I have a 1996 ford 4.9l 4x4 and I swapped the engine out for a 1995 4.9l. Its a manual transmission. 5 speed. None of my oxygen sensors are hooked up because the engine wiring harness off my 96 wouldn't fit so I used the one off the 95 engine. Now none of my oxygen sensors are hooked up and my truck does not run like it's supposed to. It will run but it has no power. Can someone help me find the ecm that will work for the engine I put in? The only information I have about the truck that I got the engine out of is that it was a 1995 4.9l f150 standard 2wd. Thank you.
I have a similar problem in that the original EEC/PCM was changed at some point in my trucks life and the door sticker scratched out so I would like to know the original part number and calibration.
1988 F250 4x4 with the inline 300 6 cyl engine and the Borgwarner ZF5 5speed manual transmission.
Thanks to anyone who can help as I am looking to get a spare.
I am trying to change my ECM. 92 F150 5L E4OD. Current computer is F2TF 12A650-AHA. Am having great difficulty finding a replacement in Canada. Is the AHA imperative or is that interchangeable with say ADA/AEA? Calibration number is 2-54L-R00
Iv got a 1996 f150 and I have done a ton of work to it. It’s a whole different machine the problem I’m having is I don’t think it’s running to its potential. Iv been told after everything done to it I need to have the ecm tunned. It’s to old to use a chip so I assume I need to pull it and send it somewhere but I don’t know who does this kind of work. I’m hoping someone can help me with a resource. I've been searching for a few days and haven't been able to find the correct ECM number for mine. Your posts on this forum keep popping up on Google, so I figured I might as well ask you directly.
It's a 1992 F150 5.0 E4OD with calibration code 2-54L-R10. The number I pulled off the existing ECM is FOAF-14A459-AA, which doesn't seem to correspond to any ECM numbers I'm seeing for replacements online. Any help you could send my way would be greatly appreciated!

That number you posted does not look like a PCM engineering number. They all have 12A650 in the middle.
