Thanks to all. The weight I quoted was taken off a brochure that had been published on a website. So much for that! In terms of weight reduction, will a Ford stroker 383 survive in a motorhome for 100k miles? It can put out more hp and torque, even without maxing out its potential. It also produces maximum power at lower rpms than others. It would mean a weight reduction of about 400 pounds - but again, I am quoting info I found on the internet. Does Ford have an equivalent to the Chevy 700R4? It is a non-electric tranny with overdrive, 4 speeds in all.
