Have you weighed your van?

Out of curiosity, has anyone weighed their van?
Care to share the details?

And if anyone knows the close approx weight of a 2005 V10 Extended 15 passenger ? I'd really appreciate the number.

I haven't come across any scales...

my e350 diesel weighs 8000 with all my built-in toolboxes loaded in their normal state. your door tag should tell you the factory scale weight, from which you can compensate for anything extra you may have in the van and get a good estimate.
if you can't find a public weigh station, you can always go to the local dump or recycling yard and they almost all have a truck scale to accurately charge/pay you by weight

I've never seen a curb weight on a door tag in a light-duty vehicle (one-ton and smaller). The only things listed are GVWR and the two GAWR. Those are weight ratings, not weights.

Running an '00 E250 5.4 gasser---with half tank of fuel, me and a typical load as a daily driver work truck 7800 pounds was mine, based on an 8600 GVWR. I do have a fiberglass raised roof that has been heavily insulated with fiberglass, lights and heater installed plus a plywood/ABS textured plastic headliner.

Like Josh I work out of mine and just happened to be working in a Waste Management facility one day. Leaving I had to drive across their scales and they were happy to tell what their scales read. Any truck stop that caters to big rigs tend to have scales---for a minimum charge they'll weigh it and issue a certificate which meets all DOT requirements should that ever be necessary to show law enforcement.
