Sprint cars. More than likely running some version of of a chevy 350. Possible direct drive no starter. No sure on the hood ortienment, but does not go to a modern sprint car
Not sure on either one but they look cool as heck. I want to build a t-bucket so bad.
You have to work for 2 years then the tools become yours. They are good tools but not big name like Snap on or Mac. No one in the shop wants to work with the new guy. They put him at the wash rack for the past week and he changed out 2 sets of batteries. He texted the boss the other day and asked him to bring him a box of latex gloves, unreal. The boss has no idea what to do so I said he can work with me but I got permission to have free reign. Monday I am going to read him the riot act and let him know he is on real thin ice.
He talks a lot of smack and thinks he is the greatest mechanic but he really isn't, he looks like a fool more than anything. In the past 2 weeks he has just about blown us up with the torch, fell into the mud pit, ran into the wash rack and messed up the roof, the boss told him to remove a bucket pin and he said he would rather not and then asked for him to bring the gloves. Anything thing that is difficult he says he can't and then walks away.
Glad you got the charging problem fixed on the truck. I need to change the oil in the Suburban and getting close to needing front brakes.
Make sure you give him his safe place, a puppy to pet, some icecream. , dont hurt his feelings or all the other bs the young generation expects. In other words dont expect him to be a man and act like one
First picture.- 1927 Ford Tbucket body, Ford (designed) frame, SBC chevy. Hood ornament is on the 1927, radiator is brass, The logo Im actually not sure if its Ford related or not....
Second pic, 1974 and 1977 sprint cars. Hilborn injection, didnt ask on motors, both different class cars. Both fast as ****, both restored. One was a "cheater" car..... Meaning he hid Nitro in the car and raced with it, the cheater car is the one we are doing. The driver was a big name for Sprint. Can you guess how he ran the Nitro without being detected? and Tell me where he hid the Nitro? Think hard on that one.
Ive been in a ****ing Uhaul all day, that drove sideways harder than a drunk cholo.
Im home, Finally got what i needed to handle handled. Rented the biggest uhaul I could get to move some ****. Ill drink some beer, rearrange and clean the house, move some furniture. Tomorrow unload my welder, grab some gas, and organize my shop to handle some serious welding/grinding/sparks/dust/paint thats about to happen.
Ford is going to be first, and im fabricating my own lift to take the cab and bed off because I got no friends to come help do that ****........
I seriously bet I could have that Ford done by January if parts permit, and all went well. My abilities to do this are astronomical............ Tools and time fight me......

Not going to happen, he is in his mid 20's so he can man up or they are going to let him go.
He is exactly the type I was talking about. Can be mean to him it hurt his feelings and he will need years of therpy, because the mean old man was not nice to him

Mean old man was not nice to him, now that was funny. I about spit coffee all over the computer screen. Having to be a nice guy was never in my Army resume!
Went over to mom in-laws and looked at her porch roof. It looks like we will have to replace all the roof sheathing and fascia boards. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the stringers. We delayed till next weekend since it was raining and it may take more than 2 days.
Old school military and the nee generation of fragile thing dont mix well. We expect when told to do something you do.
But when a deserter in time of war get a BCD what can we expect
You 2 days will turn in to 2 weeks. We are not young any more.
I spent yesterday on the computer laying out the flooring on the new house. Multi widith (4,6,8 10,12 ") hickory. Building the cut list for the timber. Still need to finish designing the cabinets. I think I have enough oak on the trailer to take to my sawmill operator. Was going to cut it this month, but the little dog has a hematoma in her ear that going to be about 300 to fix
My neighbor down the street is going to help so hopefully it won't take more than 3 days. As long as the rafters are good it should not take more than that.
Another Monday is here. I didn't get anything done yesterday because I watched my son so the wife could go Christmas shopping. We sat together in the recliner and watched football for a little bit then he wanted to get down and play.
