2003 expedition heater core problems

Ok y'all I'm stuck and need all the help I can get. I'm trying to replace my heater core and this is my first one so I pull my dash and everything disconnected the lines to the core got it all to where I can see the core but can't get the box off to pull it out....what am I not doing here?

The plenum is probably attached to the firewall with studs that go through the firewall and have nuts on the engine side.

I pulled one out from under the hood didn't see another one but I'll go back and check

I haven't had the pleasure of doing a heater core on your particular vehicle, but I've usually found three studs/nuts that hold the plenum to the firewall.

You did evacuate the AC system and disconnect those lines also?

No not yet and I can't find any others studs to the firewall if I could find a diagram of the box I could probably do it but i can find nothing no where it's been 3 days now and I'm staying to get aggravated

Well, pulled up the factory procedure. It keeps getting more and more complicated. Check out the instructions for the rear footwell duct.

Maybe someone who has done this before on your particular truck can offer some advice, all I can do is refer to the service manual.

Try asking in the Expy forum, more likely to hit an owner that's BTDT.

HEATER

HELLO,NOT SURE IF IM RIGHT PAGE,I HAVE 2001 F-150,HAD WORK DONE,NOW MY HEATER ONLY BLOWS ON HIGH,AND WHEN IT DOES,NOT ALWAYS BUT SEEMS TO SMELL LIKE ANTIFREEZE,PROBOBLY 2 DIFFERANT ISSUSES. HEATER CORE ? AND WHY ONLY ON HIGH PLEASE HELP,NOT TO COMPUTERISH?
