Bohman's Bumpside

Hey friends, finally decided to start a thread for my truck.
71' F250 w/390 auto 2WD Camper Special. Ive had the truck for a few years but I recently started driving it a lot more so the upgrades/maintenance is going to start happening more frequently.

This is what it looked like the day I brought it home. It had sat for about 10 years and after about 30 minutes of fiddling she fired up and I drove it home.

This is what it looks like now

Ever since Ive owned the truck I have had intermittent issues with the taillight bulbs blowing out a little two frequently. I decided to remake the tail light wiring harness. I removed the old wiring that had a rats nest of old spliced in crap that made it a mess. I even found two live wires that were just hanging off the frame...

Now with all that said...I am not a professional anything. Just a master dabbler if you will haha. So you'll probably see me doing things the WRONG way sometimes so please be gentle when you straighten me out!

The new harness has fixed the issues so far. Next item on the list is either going to be radius arm bushings which I have but just need to install or some re-gasketing to fix a few oil leaks on the motor. I also need to do a c-notch in the rear sooner than later.

Thanks for the welcome!

I replaced the front brakes when I first got the truck and man oh man did it need it haha. Wore the rotor completely down to the center.

Last year I also picked up a new grill and some steel door panels to replace the fiberboard ones I have.

I'm not really sure which direction to take the interior at the moment. I love how clean it is but the blue is just OK. I'll probably think on it for a while longer.

Looking great! But... "be gentle with you?" You kidding? This bunch of drunken reprobates!? Dream on!

Seriously, we love to see a cool bumpside getting some love from one of us, all being mostly master dabblers. Keep us included!

Don't change the color. Unless you are going to paint the whole truck that color. Besides the blue is nice.

I'd leave the fancy door trim panels on there also. Someone went to the trouble to remove the dash pad. Which means welding slot holes up and fresh blue paint.
