Just picked up a 2017 F250 King Ranch Crew Cab Powerstroke FX4, after many years of being loyal to GM. The leather in the King Ranch trucks is beautiful but also looks like it requires special care. The leather looks natural not like other seats that have painted leather. Anyways, this is my first KR truck so I have no idea which leather conditioner to use. Any suggestions?
I’ve always used Bick 4 leather conditioner. It won’t change the color and treats really well. It’s good stuff. I use it liberally on all of my leather goods.
I've been using this stuff for years on my motorcycle jackets. Most are $800 or more each and I don't trust just anything to them. I've also used this in my KR with no negative results. Thanks for the reminder, just checked and I'm almost out.
I also have used the King Ranch leather cleaner as shown above on my 2016 F-250 King Ranch.
The early King Ranch trucks used real, saddle leather which required a lot of feeding and care to stay looking nice. Due to complaints, the newer seats (2011-2016 generation and beyond) are essentially similar leather to Lariat or Platinum trucks which require less care. The KR seats look very nice in part because there is higher leather content on the seats as a whole, compared to the vinyl mix on the Lariat trucks.
I use these on my Katzkin leather. The wipes are nice because if there's a spot or spill I can just grab a wipe wherever I am, clean it up and condition the leather at the same time.
You mean an update as in are the cows more advanced since this last post? No. Cows haven't changed. And the leather is still a urethane coated top grain cow hide and requires nothing more than a damp cloth to clean. I use a damp cloth with a little saddle soap to make the cleaning easier. And since the leather is sealed with a urethane coat, no conditioner penetrates or is absorbed into the leather. If you want to penetrate the urethane coating, you'll need a knife. That's not good for the leather. Conditioners can make it smell better but you're not really accomplishing anything.

Thanks for the info and saving me money. I had heard that the more recent KR leather was urethane coated, but didn't consider that it would prevent conditioners from penetrating.

NO do NOT use this on KR leather,..this product leaves a white residue afterwards. It would work on a lighter leather but not KR leather. I gave it to my wife for her car.
I use Ultima interior gaurd on my King Ranch. The stuff is great. Its basically a sealent for the urethane top coat. I use it on the whole interior. My favorite part is once youve let it sit a while and buffed off the excess theres no fake looking shine, It pretty much looks oem.
