Bed/Bed Rug

Bed/Bed Rug
I'm looking at a bed rug here locally and according to the seller and a tag ON the bed rug itself it fits '97-'03 F150 long bed.
I know the F150s of these years use the same tail lights as our Super Dutys but are the beds the same in relation to the INSIDE/FLOOR so I could use this Bad Rug..??

Yes and No. The rear of the bed is the same width, as the tailgate is also the same ( as well as the lights). However the SuperDuty has a wider cab, so the bed tapers out as it moves forward, to match up with the back of the cab.
So, the F150 Bed Rug will fit fine in the back of the bed, but leave a small area uncovered at the wider front. At least I think so. I know the bed sides taper out. I never measured the floor itself. Measure the width of the floor at the rear ( same as F150), and compare to width of the floor at the front bulkhead.
I encountered this when I recently installed a Tonneau Cover. Despite it being listed as application specific for a SuperDuty, apparently Lund decided to cut corners ( literally) and make it a uniform width front to back. I wouldn't be surprised if they simply slapped a different part# on the F150 design, in order to combine them and only have to make one part. At the back, the cover is even or slightly over the edge of the bed rails. At the front, the cover sits several inches inboard of the rail edges. The edges of the cover sit about halfway over the stake pockets on either side.
