Before TTL? I would say when ordering getting 1-2% less than invoice is a good deal. No leverage on the dealer/salesman to increase discount. I'd be interested to see what others actual experience is.
Congrats on your order. I like the idea of ordering to get what you want and not getting stuff you don't want or will never use. There are some great deals are sitting on the lot right now on the 17's.
I'd think you should be near invoice, minus tax/title/license/etc
I'm getting ready to order my 2018 F350 SRW 4X4 CCLB 6.7 Lariat. Still debating on a couple of options and verifying if my 5th wheel hitch will mount up from my short bed dodge and that isn't looking good so that will change my options.
I've dealt with the same guy for almost 20 years, lost track of how many cars I've bought from him. Easy to deal with, no pressure, invoice pricing, print it out and we're done... There is something to be said for not having to wheel and deal and no pressure tactics. Can I get this cheaper? Maybe but time, effort, and buying experience is worth something to me that you don't get on paper.
OK my Dealer is charging me $200 behind His cost DLR
and will put it in as his order not a customer order might get befor the end of the year!
My cost $51,676
I was able to order my 2018 platinum for invoice with oil changes for life and "warranty for life" (all internally lubricated engine parts, tranny, xfer case & axles)... worth something.
