Rear shock question..
I've got an '04 FX4 thats a bit of a project, and its time to start on the suspension. I have Moog problem solver UCS's in the floor waiting to be installed once I get the truck back from the body shop (lady ran a stop sign into the front end) I haven't decided what font struts to go with either yet, but thats a different question.
My main hangup I'm on is that I drive this thing a LOT. Most of it is highway with the occasional playing around in the dirt when I can. I want it to ride nice and plush, but still be able to take a pretty good beating, and I keep coming back to the thought of finding Raptor take-offs. Only trouble is, I can't seem to find a definitive answer on whether the shock mounts will accept 1st gen raptor shocks. from what I can tell with photos they look to be in the same position, but I'm wondering if anyone has done this, or knows it can be done. I know that guys have done raptor swaps on our gen, but thats mostly bodywork, and the threads I found didn't say much about the rear suspension. Anyone got any answers?

With the Raptor running Fox shocks, why not just get new "similar" shocks that will fit the FX4?

I’m more than aware there are a million different directions I can go here. I’ve got the chance to get some second hand raptor take offs for what I conceive as a good deal, however so I’d like to get to the bottom of whether they’d fit or not.
