Y'all ever heard of dry ice blasting? The blast Media is dry ice pellets. Takes everything off, keeps everything COLD, and there's no cleanup! (Other than the stuff you're taking off) the ice pellets evaporate.
I worked for a guy here in Phoenix that was doing it. Several large contract jobs in factories/ mills and places like that. He paid me VERY well, so I know he must have been making a killing on it.

"It's the difference between helping your uncle, Jack, off a horse and helping your Uncle Jack off a horse."
There, fixed it for ya'! Now turn it into the teacher and wait for the inevitable gold star and smiley face on your graded A+ essay.

I've been wanting to sandblast my hubs/rims on my Mack so I can repaint them. This looks like a viable way. Doesn't hurt the surrounding surfaces(like glass or alum).
I was going to rent a compressor and shot pot but it surely would make a mess. I suppose the water just keeps it washed down.
I'd pay a few hundred bucks to have it done. No problem, worth it to me as I'll i'd have to do is paint.
