O2 Sensor

I swapped a 1995 4.9l into a 1997 F350 that had a 5.8l and an E4OD tranny. I have it running and removed the air injection and cats as I do not need them in my state. I left the EGR and O2 sensor. I had to swap the underhood wire harness to get the engine to run as pinouts were different. I now have two O2 sensor plugs. One on the tranny that was original to the truck and a new one on the new underhood harness that runs down from the right fender near the starter solenoid. I plugged into the latter as that is what the 4.9l used is this right or should I use the one on the tranny? I only have one O2 sensor.

Thanks, Brian

The wiring harness you used was a 1995 with a 4.9? If so, does a 1995 4.9 use two O2 sensors? Some of the engines did.

O2 Sensor

Dave,
Both the original harness and the '95 4.9l only had one O2 sensor. But now I have the two plugs because of the underhood wire harness swap. Just wanted to make sure I am using the right plug so the computer sees it correctly. I assume using the one from the 4.9l is correct as I had to swap in a '95 PCM also.

Thanks, Brian
