I have installed a 54 coe on a 2003 f350 4wd. chassis & cannot get the 4wd to work, have manual front hubs shift on the fly electronics, new control box,do I need vacuum at hubs or transfer case. Would not object to low high & 2wd 4wd working off toggle switches if anyone knows how to wire.
Thanks
You need to make sure that you have a vehicle speed signal and brake switch signal to the shift module (the black box).
Does your transfer case actually shift? Can you shift to 4-HI and feel that the front driveshaft is engaged to the rear driveshaft?
If you put your hubs in "LOCK" (clockwise rotation), do your axle shafts in the knuckles turn? Does this engage your front driveshaft to the front wheels?
How much of the wiring do you actually have installed? I did ESOF from a 2002 (same as your stuff) in a 1973 pickup and know quite a bit about what's needed. I need more info from you though.
First I would like to thank you for the help! When I Purchased the truck it had what looked to be after market manual hubs replaced them w/new ones, front jacked up hubs locked shaft is engaged w/transfer case. This is a straight axle f350 that had vacuum to the hubs, now unhooked.Complete wiring harness from the 03 has been moved over to the new cab 03 radio inst. cluster& everything I need is working except the 4wd.The black box 3c3t-14b205-ab has 1 rec. in the end & 3 on the side,I have no plug for the center rec.3 hot wires are in the end plug,at no time does the side plugs have power nor does the 4wd. switch except for the light that works w/ headlight switch. Can make the transfer case motor run back & forth by grounding the red/blue & then the brown/white wires also makes the relays click,I think that's high/low range, correct? The group of wires on the side of transfer case never get any power. Thanks Lewis
It sounds like you need some wiring diagrams because there are a TON of inputs and outputs for that module. I can put some up tonight when I get home unless someone else has them readily available.

got it fixed, plug c281a pin 18 rd/ye wire had no 12v,a lot of wires got cut & lengthened guess this one didn't get put back correctly, just picked up another extra switched, fused wire & spliced into plug, every thing work's,the drawings were a life saver.
Thanks
