01 f250 multifunction/gem
First off hello, my names Tony and am newish to the forum, been reading up on a lot of information about these trucks here.
Anyways, onto my issues. My tuck is an 01 4x4 5.4l auto. For sometime now the CEL would come on randomly, more so when it rains, and be for p0720, speed sensor then my transmission would shift hard. I can clear the code and it'd be gone for awhile. Now it's coming on even when not raining. So doing research I found that there was a leaky windshield issue that would mess the gem up. Now today I finally have some free time to start narrowing this issue down. I take the fuse block out and pull the gem out and apparently this issue has been addressed in the past because the gem that is in it is for a 4x2, and there is zero corrosion on it to speak of. My first question is could this cause the shifting and CEL complications? And my next question, is it possible to track down the original gem ID to replace this one?
