I have seen the engine light flash while driving a few times over the past few weeks and figured something was wrong. The truck runs fine, but I wanted to check it out anyways. I just moved, so I don't have a code scanner or voltmeter; I onlt have a few basic hand tools because my moving truck won't be here for two more weeks. My next option was to have Autozone pull them, but their scanner is broke. Go figure. I only have a jumper wire. Yeah, sucks to be me.
I checked the coolant and all fluids, checked EEC connections, vacuum lines and all the other stuff. I let the vehicle warm up for about 10 min before testing. Here's what I got:
Start the engine:
1. Check engine light blinks (4) times, with approximately 1 second interval between flashes.
Turn engine off. Wait ten seconds, make sure all electrical loads are off. Turn key to on position:
2. (KOEO) Engine light flashes four times, with approximately a 3 second interval between flashes.
Wait eight or ten or so seconds. (continuous codes?)
3. light blinks: 1,3,2
Can anybody help?? I hope somebody can. Like I said there's no sign of anything being wrong, the truck runs fine. Thanks!
BTW: it's an '89 bronco w 5.0 & AOD

The KOER test (engine running) is very long and requires lots of things to go on before it will tell you any codes. Those first 4 pulses indicate that the computer thinks it's connected to an engine with 8 cylinders.
The KOEO test looks like you got a code 11. You have to be very careful watching the light. You will get a code, and then the code will repeat. So I am assuming you got a pulse-pulse, then a little delay and then another pulse-pulse. Code 11 means everything is ok at the time the test was done.
After the code 11 was sent twice, there should have been a pause(I think this was your 8 to 10 seconds) and then there will be one pulse called a separator pulse. It will wait 5 to 6 seconds after this pulse, and then give out the memory codes(these are the ones you want). I will assume the 1,3,2 was 1=seperator code, but I can't figure out what the 32 would be. Like the other test, any codes will be repeated twice. So if it was code 32, you should have gotten another 32 afterward. Try reading the codes again, and pay special attention to the timing and the spacing of the pulses. Any codes will be repeated twice in succession.
I have a 1990 E350 7.5 L EFI , and would like to know what colour the wires are, that need the jumper wire so I can read my fault codes from my emmisions light. Please help me, high CO problem will NOT pass E-test
