Oem nav wifi pass code?

Hi guys, I have a 2014 and it has the option to connect to wifi. It won't let me put my full pass code in from our home network. I can put in about 3/4 of the digits then won't let me put any more in. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Also, when connected... what does it actually use the wifi for?

Also, should the truck have come with a book for the nav/screen/sync system?

your truck does not connect to your house with wifi. your truck has a wifi hot spot that you can enable that will use the data from your phone. your phone connects to the truck via bluetooth.

Again, your truck has no wifi capability to connect with your home network.

It picks up the WiFi signal, and it will connect to my hotspot from my phone. It even says it will connect to WiFi when it is in Park

Go read page 353 forward about Wi-Fi and it will say that it creates a "hotspot" in your truck that you can connect other phones so they can have access to the "net" via the phone that is connected by bluetooth.

It you are connecting a single phone, you are connecting to the same phone. round robin.
