There have been some recent threads on Holiday Ford. Very nice prices, for sure. So I reach out to them and they say that they can't sell to anyone in California. Has anyone else experienced that? They wouldn't tell me why they wont.

Thank your liberal legislature who bows to the tree huggers.
It's likely that it has to do with the fact that, if you are a California resident and acquire a new car, truck, or motorcycle from another state, it must be certified to meet California smog laws to be registered in California. DMV cannot accept an application to register a vehicle in California that does not qualify for registration.
I doubt that would be the case since all ford Vihicles are 50 state compliant now, I will bet it has more to do with undercutting the dealers in there State than emissions

check Arizona I don't think they can play that game there since people live on the border and shop in both states

That's plausible. But I just wanted to look smart. LOL.
I guess the motorcycle, ATV, SxS, snow machine and rec vehicle dealers don't care as much about it as the car dealers. Every single new rec vehicle I've purchased has been bought across state lines.
Last winter I checked into Holiday Ford, they had a lot of F250's but only a few srw F350's. I ended up purchasing my truck from Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Nebraska. At the time they had over 1000 new trucks in stock, over 300 of those were Super duties. I am sure they will rebuild their inventory when the 2018's come out.
They don't have the lowest advertised price but I negotiated a better deal than Holiday's advertised price. For me it was worth the flight back to OMA.
