As I’m driving I get a popping around the pilar between the driver door and passenger. It’s annoying. It’s sounds like I have something in the door pocket rolling around hitting the side of the pocket as the truck rocks from the road. I’ve made sure the doors catch and shut tight. I’ve read posts before that kinda touch base on this, but haven’t stumbled on a resolve. 118k on the clock and will soon be out of my 125k warranty and don’t have anything else to spend it on, but I’m sure this wouldn’t be covered anyways. Hoping for a direction to look.
I wonder if re-torquing the body bolts would help? I have a popping in mine on the right rear of the cab when turning up into a driveway. Still haven't resolved it, but it only bothers me.
I have the same thing happening on mine. I have read that the cab mounts on these trucks seem to have issues deteriorating prematurely. I haven't looked at mine yet, but probably need to. There are several videos on Youtube of people replacing them.
Be careful putting an impact on the body mount bolts. I believe they are held in with a weird sheet metal surrounded cage nut. An impact will cause them to spin in the cage and then you will have to pull the seats and carpet to get at them.
