I have had my truck for a few yeas now and its time to start repairs could someone brake down my vin# F61DED97247
Back then the vin number didn't tell much. All the other codes on that warranty plate told more.
F61...F600 gas 4X2.
D......330 H.D 2V carb
E.......built in Mahwah Assembly Plant
D97247....1969 model year.

There is no need to replace the distributor if the bushings are good.
I am sure Pertronix makes a kit to replace the points and keep your distributor.
Check the carb for a tag with numbers or on the carb body for numbers. Take the numbers to a good parts store and they should be able to get you a kit.

1969 F600 330 2V H/D FT engine has a Holley 2V carburetor. The number on the carb ID tag will be necessary to get the correct kit, because there are two possible kits.
The triangular shaped carb ID tag is located on the air horn w/a screw. If it's missing (as usual), look on the base of the carb for the ID number, post what it is.
