Hey all, I have an 81 F100 with 302 and a good old 2150 carb. I want to rebuild the carb but I cant locate a kit for a E1TE-DA. Now the E1TE number came from a stamping the back of the carb not the tag on the front. The tag on the front was gone when I got the truck 15 years ago. Is the stamped number in the back the correct ID? I have rebuilt an Eddlebrock carb in the past and feel comfortable doing the 2150 with a universal kit if neccessary. Were is the best place to find a kit and any suggestions for part number would be appreciated.
Take your carburetor to an auto parts store (I would try O'Reillys first), and see if they can find a rebuild kit for your carb.
If you can give them all the details about your truck (year, engine size, transmission, 2bbl carb, any other helpful info), they might be able to go off of that and narrow it down to a selection of a couple of carbs, and then you can pick the one most similar to yours.
