Hopefully this is not a trend. I just dropped my 17 SD off at the dealer again in 1,400 miles. My first visit was for the usb hub to be replaced (man that was a fun argument with the service manager). Now it’s back for a CEL with DEF fault. They have ordered a NOX sensor and it should be back in the morning. Has anyone on here had any issues with DPF or NOX on their 17 SD’s?
If it makes you feel any better Im taking mine to another dealer for a total of three visits since I paid 70k for this pile of *&%$# 2 weeks ago....truck has 400 miles on it and so far Ive had a camera take a dump and a CEL that won't go away for more than a day. Dealer I bough it from says "nothing is wrong and just keep flashing it...just drive it", they kept the truck for 3 days and did nothing. Im missing my deleted 2011 F250 more every day...never had a problem in 5 years.
The code that keeps coming up on mine is EGR related...btw
Sorry to hear of your troubles. I bought mine 3 weeks ago as a demo with 3800 miles on it. Hopefully the other dealer can address your EGR issue. Good luck my friend!
Have 8000 miles on mine and haven't had a single issue or even been back to the dealer since the day I bought it.
That's not to rub it in, have hope, you'll get there.
Thanks! I have a pretty good dealer since I stood my ground with the USB hub. They have realized that they won’t be able to B/S me. I was just wondering if there were any DPF issues out there. I work on Fire trucks now and they seem to have issues all the time with DPF.
Hang in there guys!
Mine is going to a private shop Fri for a first oil change and a 6000 mile service.
This time I got a good one.
Been in your shoes too...
It made it back and seems to be ok. I did some ForScan mods this afternoon and when I added the DPF filter percentage it shows 99% full. I hope that’s because they just cleared codes...
Over 11k miles on my F450 KR with zero issues (other than getting the wheels balanced better). Hopefully my truck is typical and the ones with issues are the exceptions.
