I have a 1997 powerstoke with app 190,000 miles, been in the family since it had 20,000 miles, always been taken very well care of. Used to have Ford's option power chip, sold it when it was time for a new computer. Only mod it has is an intake, the rest is bone stock. Wondering if it's possible to pull more boost as it is, and if so, what the possible reprocusions may be. I plan on an exhaust upgrade soon, I like the flowmaster 4.5-5 in, opinions and advice on that as well is welcome

 

No, there is not.

 

More boost with out additional fuel will make no difference other than more heat. More heat means less power potential. Making sure proper fuel pressure is maintained is key. There are multiple ways to get that. Otherwise its on to mods of varying types.

I will say there are mods to maximize your current hardware. Its a slippery slope tho lol

 

What Byron said buttttt, if you get rid of that pancake DP, bigger exhaust like your saying and a chip you might get 50 more hp out of it.

 

More boost means more mods. Which equals FUN. I like diamond eye exhaust. It went in easy and sounds nice
