well what are your mods? are you running stock/corked up or are you free flowing exhaust or anything?
bigger exhaust= more flow
more air= more flow
more fuel(via chip or 10k ect.)=more boom
. more boost
just a free flowing exhaust, downpipe and 6637 intake will get you a pound or 2 more of boost, but if you want a cojuple pounds more youll need to increase fuel, and that is easily obtained by a chip. or just a huge set fire hose nozel injectors
Stock turbo will put out up to 40psi of boost but only through mods. Mostly more fuel will increase the boost. Mine stock was 15psi boost, now with the mods in my signature I can get 30psi out of it. The stock turbo is pretty tough.
you can actually get some good life out of the stock turbo with increased fuel such as 1s or 2s in these trucks, as long as you dont sustain 30psi of boost for long periods of time, and have it in blips around town and not huge pulls on the highway then you can get a happy life out of it. we drive like an *** in my cusins truck with 160cc 2's from jim and that thing down right moves. and IIRC his turbo had little to no movement on the shaft so far and hes had them for a full year so far. the stock turbo is easy to rebuild anyway even if it starts to go.
depending on your elevation will effect your boost, mustangmatt has a cali model truck in california and thoes trucks come with 120cc injectors and he isnt getting the boost some of us would get back on the other side of the country. but alot of us are going to say, DITCH THE SUPERCHIP, aka SUPERJUNK, thoes are canned uncustom tunes that dont give you any boost in power, contact one of the sponsers from this site of powerstrokenation and youll get a sick chip, were 20+ psi is easily obtained.
bumpers!? i need bumpers! haha im pretty sure a chip takes care of the injectors and the idm mod, dont quote me, but i thought it owuld be invaine such as the 10k mod with a chip
Its a 3" to a 3-1/2". So its still 3" next to the fire wall. Then it jumps up to the same size as what was on the front of the catalytic converter. I trashed that thing though.
yeah i was pretty pissed about how much bending I had to do to get the 3" in there. I know they can bend stuff better than that. I use to be a purchasing agent for a exhaust manufacturer and I KNOW they could have done better than that. It almost made me pissed enough to give them a call and tell them how crappy their product is.
