I stopped by the shop where my truck has been sitting for the last 6 months and found that the guy has finally got off his *** and worked on my truck. He found that the radiator is bad and the power steering hose I ordered is wrong so I had to get a new one made up. The radiator is ordered and should be here soon. All thats left is two brake lines, put the new steering hose on, put the radiator in, drain the old gas out of the tank, shorten the fan spacer and check and fill all the fluids. All that is being held up by the radiator for now but it should be done next week. I dropped off the truck 6 months ago thinking it needed about ten hours worth of work and I wasnt in the mood to work on it. I found out why I had no motivation with a medical condition. By the time I started getting mad about why it was taking so long he had the truck torn down and I didn't want to tow it to another mechanic and put the problems on him so I let it go. Well theres light at the end of the tunnel finally! Just in time for winter. I need to get a move on if I want to get some of the stuff done on it that I wanted to over the summer. First up is tires and fyuid changes in the boxes. Then maybe Raptor liner if I have time. If not thats ok I'll do it in the spring. Anyway, heres some pics of the engine. It's a 1972 460. The pullet kit is a CVF racing kit along with a Saginaw pump. I'll paint the engine bay next weekend. I included one before pic.
