Hello! New member and new Excursion owner with a little problem.
When I press the keyfob two times to get a confirmation that the doors are locked, the front and rear lights should light up, but the front right don't light up. Anyone got some sugestions on how to fix this? How the remote locks/alarm are wired in to the lights? A wiring diagram would have been great, but I haven't found one after hours of google.
Yes, I have checked the bulb, and that was ok. I no see in the owners manual that the front and rear also should give a short blink when pressing the lock button on the remote the first time when locking. But thats a separte problem. Could there be some kind of routine for turning that on and off, just like the belt chime?
You were absolutely right! I was of the impression that it was the mine headlight bulb that gave the short blink, as it has "EU standard" front lights with included parking light in the main lamp. Taking another look at it today, it is that little park bulb that gives the confirmation blink, and it was all dead and blacked out.
Believe it or not, I can only remember the KISS Method (Keep It Simple Stupid) when trying to help others. When it comes time to diagnose problems my vehicles are giving me? Nope, it's like the biggest brain cramp for me.
