I didn't....unless there's some other way of holding the internal fan without just hitting it with the impact to tq pulley back up? I found safest way to not bend the blades was to block each one then torque it.

i am not sure if the wires going to the old regulator can be used or not i would use new wires and splices from the alt myself. i just repaired my old alternator harness.
