Interior color?

need to find some touch up paint (to refinish the pod for my edge cs2) to match the black dash color of a 2005 excursion. i know the exterior color is pueblo gold, and pretty sure its medium pebble on the tan portions of the interior, but no idea what ford calls the black dash. anyone know the name of that black? cant find anything online.

This post on OldguyFL's Cummins rebuild thread talks about 'Landau Black'. A quick
search search
showed this product. Not sure if this is the exact match for you.

I'm pretty sure @Matt M, PA repainted his black dash upper in his near perfect '05 EX, hopefully he can help with the proper color code.

I can look at the SEM can in the AM and report back. I do know that I also bought a can of some flattening agent but didn't use it. I was pleased with the match. I also used the same paint when I painted "bucket" piece I got for the front of the floor console to replace the cupholders. I can post a pic of the dash if wanted..

...and thanks for the kind words WE3ZS....

You could just pull off the whole dash there and respray it. In your jamb you have an interior paint code/trim. That will tell you what color it is.

Too dark, I haven't mixed it but according to SEM, the code you want for our blackish 2005 IP surround/seats is 5694 Color Coat. That is medium flint.

Reps to Y2KW57, after I spread some more love

The point being, as shown in the photo below, that there is actually a separate part number for the different shades of Parchment found within an interior of a given color code, and these different hues were at one point in time orderable as touch up paint from Ford.

Actually, Ford began calling the tan interior color "Parchment" in the Super Duty some two years earlier. My 2000 interior color is called Parchment. Or Medium Parchment. Or Medium Dark Parchment. Or Dark Parchment.

In fact, here are the spray cans of interior plastic paint that I got from Ford in 2001, that show the four different shades of Parchment. Ignore the Graphite and Charcoal color cans on the right, as those were for my E-Series cutaway.

thats the problem... it only gives the basic interior color (pebble)... and not the dark/black colors on the dash.

i could, but there is black stuff literally all over the truck... doors, center console, etc. it would drive me insane to have it mismatched.

I will say that while the SEM I used looks great...it is just a bit darker from factory. I painted all dash parts to match and it worked well. It was so close, I assumed it was that the factory parts may have faded, aged, over the years. I would've assumed the parts were black.

When I compared the 4x4 switch plate to the dash I painted, it was slightly different....so I painted all those parts.Vents are original.
