Took my xfer case linkage off and the small posts that connect the long (linkage) arms to the case are worn out and stopping the case from shifting correctly. LMC doesn't stock these pieces and I assume I can fabricate something from a grade-8 bolt(?), but I hope someone has solved this problem before.
Thank you Bill. This diagram looks like it pertains to a part time xfer case.
The part I'm looking for is located where my two "equivalent 7B051" linkage rods end on the case-side. There is a slotted hole in the linkage rod. The part I need goes into the slotted hole and looks kind of like a bolt. It has threads and a nut that hold it to the rod and then transitions to a smooth round post with a small hole for a pin to go through. I should have taken a photo when I had both rods out of the truck If it's necessary, I will climb under and try to take a picture of the worn part.
Thank you Bill. 7B414 (bolt/ shaft) and 7B051 (nut). And yes, my previous post was incorrect (i.e. the fasteners are on the shifter end, not the xfer case end).
Frankly, the whole she-bang is loose as a goose. If available and affordable, I might add the 7F064 and 7F068 linkage (and maybe more...)
Thank you Bill. 7B414 (no such part number, should be 7B415) (bolt/ shaft) and 7B051 (nut is 383098-S). And yes, my previous post was incorrect (i.e. the fasteners are on the shifter end, not the xfer case end).
Look at the pic again to verify these two part numbers.
