No tail lights

Anyone ever experience having no tail lights but everything else works?
Turn signal works
Brake lights work
Running lights up front and mirrors work.
Bulbs look good, filament in both is there.
Can't find a fuse blown or wire cut.
Any ideas?

About once/week I'll see someone without driving tail lights. Headlights, brake lights, etc look good but their rear driving tail lights are off. Over the years I have told a few people and one guy while going into the same fast food restaurant.

Each time they didn't know and were very surprised. Unless you get out and check, how else would you know? Or someone tells them.

It is very strange that so many have this problem.
