wife needs a a new vehicle and we found another X. the only problem is this mystery hole, it is a 5.4l v8 gas motor. my wife spoke with the lady selling it, the vehicle was her husband's but he past away. the owner doesn't quite know what the deal is and it has been sitting for a while now since her husband's passing. this is the picture, unfortunately I don't know if it is passenger or driver side. I'm not sure what the neck that would be from.
nevermind don't worry about it. I got a hold of the owner and they said that the motor rattles when it is on. so on to the next one.
How cheap was it? And how is the overall condition beside the ready to puke motor? A new/rebuilt/used 5.4 shouldn't be very expensive if the price on the sick EX is low enough.........

it a cheap and if I had the fund and didn't need a vehicle for my wife I would be all over it. it's 4k would be worth just to get and through a 7.3l in it

Or not, swapping out a gasser for a PSD would be a very involved project that would best be done with a complete PSD donor truck to lift all of the needed parts from. Not a simple engine swap.
