I'm curious to know if the 2017 is having the longest run of production? They are still producing them as of current date. When did they begin production and when will 2017 MY production end? Is it a longer run than usual?

 

It is longer than usual. The model year usually switches at the July 4th shutdown.

 

Definitely a longer run than normal. The 2008 6.4s saw a pretty long production run also.

 

The 1999 run was probably the longest... bodies were being readied in late 1997, "official" production began in January 1998 (the earliest the law allows a one-year advance), and went until the 2000 models finally began in the summer of 1999.

 

The 1997's went on for a long time.

 

It's because after 40 years of buying Dodges I switched to a Superduty.

 

On the other hand, the shortest production run for a super duty was 2014. They made them for a month.
