np 273 advice needed
1999 f250 200k 4r100 with the esof. just got this truck a few weeks ago. going through this truck, at one time the esof would acually function good. as of now the transfer case will not release the front drive shaft when in 2wd. I already removed the shift motor on the case and am using the wrench to turn the lobe in all 3 positions. front drive shaft stilll turns in all positions. jacked up front axle and setting on jack stands with front wheels off ground, same results.
my first question is what position is the lobe on the transfer case at when in 2wd/ guessing the rear most position? it seems like the synchros in the t case wont release the front shaft into a neutral position to be in 2wd. about to tap a few times with hammer. this is the first electronic t case for me..... thankx!!!!!!!!!
