Hydroboost problems
Need some help! I attempted to install hydroboost on my 68 off a 6.0 powerstroke. I don't have assist, and blew fluid out of resivoir. Drove short distance. I checked my high pressure routing, I believe is correct. I checked it with my 7.3 powerstroke and online diagrams for 6.0. I don't know if resivoir is tilted to much with aftermarket bracket, second drain I weld on causing issue, possible bad used booster, air in system, bad pump or can't flip booster over? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The booster can be mounted in any position. It looks like the pump needs to be in a more vertical position. I have Hydroboost on my 67 Ford passenger car, I plumbed the fluid exhaust hose into the return line to the pump. Since fluid continues to run through the booster until the brake is pressed it is probably just blowing too hard into the bottom of the pump.

Update, problem was bad saginaw pump. I installed a petcock valve on return, notice right away fluid flow was low or restricted. Replaced pump and now works great. So those that want to turn booster upside down, it does work.
