So is mine w/ the"1ST-RIDE " Am leaving wed. morning at 3 am. Drive till I am tired maybe east of Knoxville stay the night and arrive to the show around 8 am thur morn . About a 14 hr. drive .
Well, I arrived in town late yesterday and stopped by the show. I saw Kevin but didn't find Denny as he must have already left. The show was basically over for the day. When I returned to the show this morning I was charged $12 at the entrance. Thinking they raised the advertised admission by $2 I was not concerned, but when I got to the top of the hill, that is where they required the $10 admission. It turns out the $12 was the 'parking' charge, so to attend the show you now have a choice $40 as a participant or $22.00 a day as a spectator. When I spoke with Charlie his only answer was "I have no control over, the parking charge is in the contract".
With all the screw ups with this show, I feel that Charlie at least owed it to the folks to advertise the additional daily parking charge.
Needless to say I will not be attending this show now or in the future.
somebody give me a truck count of 48-56's... saw lots and LOTS of 60's stuff in the pictures... but our genre didn't seem to be well represented... total number of trucks there too ???
spent my time at Biloxi @ Crusin the coast... Lord, at the cars... saw several nice and some decent Mid-50s... left yesterday ahead of the weather... but it was forecast 120% rain for Saturday so nuthin missed... looks like a Miss-Ala coast landfall... hope all are safe on return trip
