The Dogtracking Thread.....

Over in the 2017 section there is a new dog tracking thread.
I never heard of this term and got behind a new SD yesterday and thought it was going down the road crooked like from behind. The rear axle looked like it was positioned further to the right.
Anyone else notice this?

those were "Broke Back"s.... where the cab and bed make contact at rear window.. aka bent frame

most dog tracking is a broken main leaf spring..

Given the fact that the front axle is slightly wider than the rear, all these trucks will give the illusion they are dog tracking if you look close enough. I've strongly considered running 1/4" spacers in the rear since I run a 9" wheel with +1 offset. That shows the difference more than stock wheels that are tucked in, or running a large offset outside the fender.

Yup, we always called it crabbing too. Never once heard anyone use the term "dog tracking".

The dog did it

In Michigan, everyone I know calls it dog tracking.
(My dog is crooked when he runs, his rear is usually about 3 inches left)
Never seen a crab run, not sure what they do.
