the C series were built up until 1990, oldest one I ever saw was a 1961. so you have a wide range of parts to chose from .
give some details about your truck and you will probably get more input.
Ya I put a picture of the vin tag in the C truck thread looking for a Numbers Dummy to look at it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...owners-17.html. Thanks for the reply. BTW They made them for 33 years 1957 to 1990 I think.

I PDI'd one of the last 3 Cseries that came into Canada. it was a c8000 Shell oil truck 3208 cat with a 5spd manual Knuckle buster. always remember it because I went over the tracks a little too fast on my road test and smashed my head into the headliner, basically a whiplash.
these damn trucks were made for short people. I remember all the main parts had "C1 " at the beginning of all the part numbers.
now you need to post some pics of the complete truck not just the VIN tag
Well I know very little about it. had a bill of sale when I picked it up. they are sending the title soon I hope. And I know the doors have the 6000 on them maybe they were changed? But it for sure has a GAS motor in it. I know it might have been changed but if I am thinking right the dash part of cab was different with the diesel. Hell I don't know?

I just decoded the VIN and Warranty Plate in your thread in the Large Truck forum. It decodes to a C600 with a Cat 8 cylinder diesel (C6000), but see "Note" below below the decode..
