Ford used the same engines in the c series and the f series. I would walk in to the local parts store and If possible try and find an older parts guy that perhaps has been in the business for some time. Just explain what your wanting to do and it should not be a big problem. As far as the clutch master cylinder goes, I am not at home or i would look at my truck but i want to say there is a fill plug on the matter cylinder to add fluid.

 

Yes the master cylinders have a tab on the boot for pulling it up so you can add fluid into the top of the master cylinder.

Yea when mine needed fluid I had to ask a friend that used to work at our local Ford dealer back in the day where to fill them.

All Ford V8 points and condenser are the same, cap and rotor button also the same on points dist. I'm thanking 477, 534 used the same plug as FT engines that would be a F10 in a Champion, can't remember the Autolite number.

I would recommend that you purchase a transfer pump.

this is the easiest way to get fluid into the brake reservoir and clutch reservoir. This will allow you to control the fluid.
Be aware the clutch And brakes can be notoriously difficult to bleed because if the bends in the line.

Hi all, just bought a 72 c700 4x4. It was a pg&e vehicle that i was told was hardly used. It was a special factory order that was completed by fabco for the 4x4 conversion. Needs a few things but is operational. Ill post a photo once i figure out how.

 

I recently purchased a 1968 Young Fire truck on a Ford C900 chassis. It has a 534 in it and runs real good. I need to find a few parts for it so I can get it back on the road. Need a hydraulic clutch line for it. Any ideas where i may get one?

 

1957/80 C series Tilt Cab: The 11 digit VIN begins with C .. But it might be a good idea to post the VIN to make sure that's what the chassis is.

How long is the hydraulic clutch (from master to slave cylinder) line?

 

Ii have not removed the old line yet. I can post the measurements once I get it out.

A little long in the overhang but. Do you guys have a legal overhanging length ? Down here max is 60% of the wheelbase.

Well on the Utah DOT page it says ( 6' rear overhang )

As to the second part of your question .

 

Did look a little longer than 6 foot. Are you going flatbed or another camper ?
