On the radio this morning I heard that a man (anonymous) was attempting to steal tires off this other guys (anonymous) ride. The guy that he was trying to steal from was actually in the car at the time. The guy starts the car and backs up, running over and crushing the thiefs hand. He totally broke his hand. The thief took him to court and sued him for $75,000 because now the thief had a big doctors bill and he couldn't effectively continue his "profession." How does stuff like this happen?
And yes, the thief won.
Also, I have no idea what county of city this was in. Did anyone else hear about it? If I knew the judge personally, I'd walk up and kick him!
Was it the judge or jury???
People are so soft that they are affraid to afix blame!!
So they go after the big companys!! i am sure that his car inssurance will cover this and I bet that its the max$75grand.
Its a sad state we live in that lets bad guys win at anything!!
its sad havin to worry about what you do or say 'cause people today will try to sue anyone for anything they can, most people are just concerned about making a buck, no matter if it hurts someone or not or how stupid it really is. no one wants to stand up for what they think is right or work hard to earn things or have morals and values anymore...they just want other peoples money and not do anything for it other than tell someone they're hurt and sue them...just like the woman that sued mcd's for the coffee being hot..i dunno about you but coffee usually is hot unless its some of that starbucks stuff thats supposed to be drank cold. i have a bad feeling we'll see even more stupid lawsuits in the future
man, i wish i grew up in the 50s and 60s....for more reasons than one....
