TGIS...
I can't wait for this month/year to be over with. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that someone made October -"The Death Month".Well if you remember my last post on the 15th.... you can add another traumatic death to it.

On October 16th our friend/new roommate Chester found Linda-his recent exgirlfriend of 23 years deceased at her home when he went to pick up some of his things. He doesnt have a key anymore, so he called Lindas daughter to see if she knew where she might be & when she talked to her last. While on the phone, he knocked on Lindas elderly mothers bedroom window & finally got her attention to open the front door. The smell when she opened the door about knocked him off his feet. Chester knew something up & thought maybe it was because Linda hadn't taken out the trash. While still on the phone, he brought in & set a jug of water & the mail down in the kitchen & looked for Linda. He didnt notice her laying lengthwise almost up against the bottom step in the Den. He then went for another jug of water near the front door when her daughter asked him if her mom was there. He set the jug down next to the water dispenser near the corner of the Kitchen & Den then turned around to look at the sofa in the Den where Linda normally sits. Thats when he saw her!
He didnt recognise her at first due to the stage of decomposition & then he noticed a scar. He yelled & quickly ushered Lindas mother back to her bedroom so she wouldnt see her deceased daughter. He went & looked at Linda again to be double sure it was her....hoping that it was all a sick joke. He looked at her face (now forever embedded in his mind), realizing it was true. He gasped/screamed/cried & got nauseous while he rushed outside in shock & dropped to his knees crying. Lindas daughter instantly knew before he CRY out; "Omg...she's dead! You're mom's dead!" Then he accidently hung up on her & immediately called 911 & waited for them to come. When they arrived he refused to go back inside & told them where her body was & gave them all of the info. they needed. The cops located her & confirmed her death. They also noticed some "red flags". After interrogating Chester they told him that they have reason to believe that foul play may be involved somehow & that it was now possibly a crime scene & further investigation was needed. Chester gave them all of his contact information(my address/phone since he's been staying with us since the breakup), they confirmed with me & then offered Chester their condolences & sent him home.
We did found out at Lindas memorial yesterday, that per her autopsy, she had been dead for 9 days when Chester found her. EEEWW!
It could be 2-3 months before we get the results on her cause of death.
Please keep her family & friends -especially Chester in your thoughts & prayers.
Thank you
