Greg, maybe you did it right. Owning new cars is like anything else. If you don't have something you don't get hooked on it.
Jim, I did most of my own work until about 2 or 3 years ago. I guess if I had to I could do my own service work. But its harder for me to get up & down on the ground. Crawling around on the ground etc.
I had a friend that died 2 years ago & he was so stubborn that he would take two or three days to change the oil or whatever small job that had to be done. I would go over to his house & find him not able to get up off the ground. Sometime he had been laying there for an hour or two. Somewhere in those days I decided I wasn't going to be like that. He died at 72 years old. He left well over $100K in money plus a car collection & parts worth another $100+K plus a paid for house & 40'x100' garage on 3 lots all paid for to his brother when he died. But refused to pay $60-$80 to service a car.
Yea, He was a character. We use to travel a lot. He was fun to travel with. But we had a system. If we took my vehicle he would buy the gas, we swapped off meals & motel rooms etc. It worked for us. We always stayed & ate in good places. But some stuff he was as tight as they come.
Hope everyone's doing well.
This month seems to be the death month. From Street Vibrations, the Las Vegas Shooting Spree, Famous people & in the last week, a teacher from Kaedons highschool died & the 3 people murdered in Silver Springs was the mom & grandparents of Kaedons friend. Kaedon took it pretty hard, but is doing better now. Then first thing early this morning our friends house caught fire & he had to be Careflighted to Renown. He's in critical condition. So, we're hoping & praying that he'll pull through. If you could keep our friend, Dale in your thought & prayers, I'd be grateful. Thanks
Good Morning Pat. How are You today? Today is a rest day for me. Went to the gym and worked out now I'm going to take it easy. Busy day tomorrow headed to our place in Goldfield to do some work.
