Interchangable parts

I feel like I shouldn't even have to ask this, but after doing a little shopping, I'm not so certain.
I was shopping for chrome Export bars and Monte Carlo bars for my 65 Ranchero. I had just assumed it would be the same units as the Mustang, considering the Mustang was based upon the Falcon chassis. However, after shopping around, I found there are serious price differences for pieces fro the Mustang versus the Falcon. Is there a real difference or are they just making some extra money based upon a different model name?

I did some research and found there is a difference, for the record, in the width of the engine bays. The Mustang is about an inch more narrow, (presumably due to heavier steering components and shock towers), than the Falcon.

Lol. Figured that out did you? Learned a long time ago that if you used the term Corvette for about any GM engine part, the price was higher.
